The Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood is located in the north part of midtown Memphis. Its boundaries are North Parkway on the south, Watkins Street on the west, Cypress Creek on the north, and Springdale Street/Rhodes College on the east.
The Vollintine Evergreen neighborhood has a deep, vibrant, and rich history. The neighborhood is located in the heart of Midtown, and has many people claiming it as home. Friendly neighbors, homes with exquisite architecture, excellent schools, tree-lined streets, and a premiere walking trail are found in the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood. It is a historic district with many homes that are more than 70 years old.
It is adjacent to Rhodes College, a foremost liberal arts school, which provides walking access to concerts, lectures, and many other public events. The area is served by the Vollintine Evergreen Community Association (VECA), a volunteer organization founded in 1970.
